Super Bowl Sunday Nacho Dip
It's that time of year again - Super Bowl Sunday! And that means a day of indulging in Football eats (better known as the greasy foods you try to avoid all year long).
Although we will all be watching a bit differently this year, that doesn't mean we can't still enjoy some pub-style grub. I bring this highly-requested nacho dip to our Super Bowl party every year, and there are rarely leftovers.
The best part? It is SO easy to make, and to modify. I mean it - it's the easiest app you'll ever make. Sometimes I add a layer of chilli or a layer of guacamole to jazz it up, but there's nothing wrong with tasty basics!
Ingredients: -1 container sour cream -1 block of cream cheese -Salsa -2 cups shredded cheese -2 green onions, chopped
-1 tablespoon paprika
Extras - 1 cup guacamole (optional)
-1 cup of chilli (optional)
Method:
Mix sour cream and cream cheese in a medium sized bowl using a hand mixer to get rid of lumps. Add paprika and blend further.
Layer cream cheese mixture into the bottom of a pie pan or shallow dish
Pour layer of salsa on top of cream cheese
OPTIONAL: Add layer of guacamole, followed by layer of chilli
Top with shredded cheddar cheese
Sprinkle chopped onions over dip
Refrigerate for an hour before serving with your favourite nachos.
